Joâo Pernambuco

João Teixeira Guimaraes commonly known as João Pernambuco was a Brazilian composer, guitarist and viola player, considered a fundamental figure in the structuring of the solo guitar in Brazil and one of the main names in the history of choro. Born 1883-11-02 in Jatobá, Brazil. Died 1947-10-16 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
